The annual Bike Jumble, organized by Frome’s Missing Links in partnership with Frome City Council, will be held on Sunday, June 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the Frome Library.
Now in its fourth year, the jumble is a way to get a cheap bike or find replacement parts, accessories, and even bike clothing at a fraction of the cost.
Frome’s Missing Links is now on the hunt for donated bikes, bike parts and components, bags, bells, clothing, bike shoes and any other cycling related items you no longer need.
All proceeds from the sale will go to Frome’s Missing Links, which is working on building a family-friendly multi-user path that will connect the city center with the Colliers Way to Radstock and beyond.
If you have something you would like to donate, donation sessions are held in the Town Hall parking lot on Park Road on:
- Saturday June 5 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Thursday June 10 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday June 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Thursday June 12 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Alongside the Bike Jumble, there will be a ‘Pay-it-Forward’ bike maintenance session, hosted by Ding Frome.
People are welcome to bring their current bikes for a check-up or to ask for advice.
The Bike Jumble, which has been around since 2018, has helped over 150 people get new wheels and get moving.
Frome’s Missing Links President Richard Ackroyd said: “We hope to find new homes for a lot more bikes and give people a way to stay active, it’s great to see people pedaling with a good deal and a smile on the lips. “
