CLIFFSIDE – The non-profit Chase Corner Ministries thrift store is having a 3-day bag sale on all clothing and footwear on Monday, August 30. There will be a $ 5 white bag. Tuesday August 31 – White bag of $ 4. Wednesday September 1 – $ 3 black bag. Open MW 8:30 am to 2:30 pm – 1604 Chase High Rd., Across from Chase High School. Buy as many bags as you want. Bags provided. Closed Thursday and Friday for restocking for the fall. All the profits go to help your neighbor in need.
Second Harvest Mobile Food Truck will take place on Thursday, September 23 at the Concord Baptist host location, 720 Old US Highway 74, Bostic. Please arrive between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Food distribution usually begins no later than 10:00 a.m. First come, first served. This is a large amount of food and usually of high quality – a huge boost to any family’s food budget for the month. Must be a resident of Rutherford County and meet USDA income requirements. Chase Corner Ministries is currently in need of donations of green beans, corn, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, toiletries like laundry detergent and shampoo, razors and dish soap. Food from the garden or fresh eggs to share? Whether for one person or for 20 people, we are happy to receive donations of fresh produce. It can make a huge difference, even for a family in need.
